Relaxingly rural

Uniquely unspoiled

Once upon a time in a village not too far away...If you’re searching for picture-perfect pastel cottages, thatched  roofs and wonky chimney tops, then put those fairy tales back on the shelf! The time-warp village of Newnham looks as though Walt Disney could have hand-crafted the area himself. So grab those exploring boots and step back in time to this quaint little slice of Hertfordshire, sure to offer a beautiful backdrop to your feed as demonstrated here by @xacbert.

Splendidly Scenic

Great things come in small packages, and the idyllic village of Ayot St. Lawrence is no exception to the rule. Brimming with chocolate box cottages, half-timbered houses, and a maze of winding country lanes, there's not a bad angle in sight here. With its links to George Bernard Shaw, this rural area not only offers a scenic surrounding for a new Instagram post, it also holds a rich, fascinating past to uncover on your adventure.
